Peter Crippin

Peter Crippin is the Department Head of Mathematics at Woburn Collegiate Institute in Scarborough. Mr. Crippin and a colleague developed the Gifted Mathematics Program at their school. With an emphasis on enhancing the problem- solving capabilities of students, the program has resulted in consistently outstanding student performances in mathematics contests. One of Mr. Crippin's former students, currently completing a doctorate in mathematics, said: "Many of us could never have excelled to these levels (without) the spirit of learning and problem-solving that Peter instilled in us as high school students."
