When visitors marvel at the busy natural activity in Mossom Creek near Coquitlam, British Columbia during salmon spawning, they should also marvel at the work and dedication of Ruth Foster, Rod MacVicar, Jim Mattson and 18 years' worth of Centennial School students who have brought the creek back to life. Students can prepare for a career in fisheries management or related fields with hands-on experience at the Mossom Creek Fish Hatchery developed by the three teachers.
