Teaching Approach:

  • Develop positive relationships with staff, students and parents and build on it to ensure students succeed in the classroom.
  • Create courses on leadership and special girls-only physical education classes.

Outstanding Achievements:

  • Several of her leadership students organized a presentation by a Sudanese boy on the struggles he faced as a student in Sudan. They then began a fund-raising campaign to support the building of a school in Sudan.
  • Pioneered the use of D2L (Desire to Learn) software at Bishop O'Byrne. This technology is now used in all high schools in the Calgary Catholic School District.
